Master Bakari Alexander, Rockville Kung-Fu Tai Chi Studio's lead instructor is a high ranking Martial Arts Master, who has combined excellent student instructor ratios with a state of the art training facilities. Master Bakari has more than 30 years of experience teaching in the fitness arena. He is the United States and international representative of Shackle Hand Boxing (also known as Kiungo Cha Mkuno), a form of African combat. He is a certified master of the mediation based internal systems of Classical Yang, Lao Yang, Secret Yang, Banugua Chuan, Shing-I Chuan Daoist Yoga, and Meridian Energetics. He is a master of combat–based external schools including Northern Shaolin Chung Chuan, Ba Chi Chuan, Tam Twii as well as numerous other weapons and empty hand forms. Master Bakari synthesized elements of these systems with African influenced movements to create Power Chi Energetics © a low impact exercise routine that combines aspects of both meditation and combat styles, making it a uniquely effective training program that anyone can do. His expertise and experience make him one of the premier instructors teaching in the martial arts today. He will be with students every step of the way to help them reach their individual goals—maybe even reach some new goals they've never before thought possible.
Rockville Kung-Fu Tai Chi Studio realizes that each student possesses different physical abilities. Size and strength vary with each individual. Once a student has acquired a strong foundation in the basics, Master Bakari Alexander' carefully outlined program will enhance the student's physical capabilities and maximize his/her self-defense skills.
Rockville Kung-Fu Tai Chi Studio is not interested in just teaching self-defense. Master Bakari Alexander, as a master instructor remains interested in the complete personal development of each student.
